Waste management enterprise Spetstrans has expanded its bulky waste collection infrastructure in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky by adding two new disposal locations. Three specialized containers designed for large refuse have been installed at municipal sites in the Kopay neighborhood, specifically at 125A Stroitelnaya Street and 6A Lugovaya Street.
The deployment of these high-capacity waste bunkers is part of an ongoing experimental initiative in the city. The primary objective is to alleviate the burden on standard municipal waste bins, which frequently overflow due to unauthorized dumping. These residential sites regularly accumulate debris from suburban allotments, garage cooperatives, private properties, and commercial entities – including retail shops and food kiosks – that operate without formal waste disposal contracts.
With these recent additions, the specialized bulky waste containers are now operational across multiple locations in the municipality. The current network encompasses sites at 2 Frolova Street, 5/1 Chubarova Street, and 38A Kavkazskaya Street, alongside the newly equipped areas on Stroitelnaya and Lugovaya streets.
