The geological instability in this sector presents a significant risk of landslides and rockfalls, and approaching the volcanic edifice is strongly discouraged.

Access along the road from Termalny village to the Vilyuchinsky pass is strictly controlled and requires a mandatory permit. The checkpoint for this route operates on a restricted daily schedule, permitting passage only during the designated time windows of 07:00–08:00, 13:00–14:00, and 19:00–20:00.
