During raids conducted between June 22 and June 29, fisheries enforcement officers apprehended 130 violators on the waterways of the Kamchatka region. Authorities seized 45 kilograms of illegally caught fish, six vehicles, and 69 pieces of fishing equipment from the poachers.
The most frequent offenses included violations of fishing regulations and habitat protection rules, as well as the evasion of administrative penalties. Currently, 23 task forces and 24 stationary outposts are operating across regional water bodies to combat poaching – a sustained enforcement effort as inspection raids continue.
These recent operations follow legal actions from the previous week, when three rural residents in the region received suspended sentences and financial penalties for related poaching offenses.
