Specialists from the Ministry of Forestry and Hunting examined the surroundings of the peninsula’s large settlements from a helicopter, Kamchatka.Today reports.

According to the public inspector, a hunter with 40 years of experience, Vladimir Shabliy, there are few bears roaming near human habitats.

In addition, Shabliy himself toured the vicinity of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky the day before and did not find any traces of clubfoot. But according to him, there are a lot of wild cherry trees in the forest.

In 2024, Kamchatka experienced an unprecedented invasion of bears in towns and villages. According to experts, predators simply do not have enough natural food.
