A contractor has been identified to eliminate illegal taps into the drainage system near Kultuchny Lake, the administration of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky told the KAMCHATKA-INFORM agency

“The city administration’s highway Service has identified a contractor and drawn up a schedule according to which the work will be carried out. First of all, Leningradskaya, Sovetskaya, Embankment and Lenin Square streets will be checked for tie-ins. Citizens who currently do not have an agreement with relevant organizations for the discharge of storm drains need to conclude it,” said Ekaterina Kovalchuk, head of the Department of Road Management, Transport and Landscaping of the city administration.

Information about the detected violations will be posted on the official website of the city administration and transmitted to the competent authorities for appropriate action. After 10 working days after the information is published on the website, work will begin to eliminate illegal tie-ins.

In parallel, the design of a storm sewer system for sewage treatment plants in the Kultuchnoye Lake basin is underway.
