A tire recycling initiative is currently underway in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and the Yelizovsky District. Residents have already turned in approximately 28,000 used tires, progressing toward a regional collection target of 40,000.
Participants receive a financial incentive of 50 rubles along with 50 bonus points through the KAMball reward system for each passenger car tire submitted. The reward program is capped at a maximum of 5,000 points per person.
Collection points operate at 1 Tundrovaya Street in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and 20/1 Molodyozhnaya Street in the Novy settlement. Facilities are open on weekdays – with a scheduled lunch break – from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. All locations remain closed on Sundays.
A passport is required to participate in the recycling drive. While there is no overall limit on the number of tires an individual can submit, those bringing 15 tires or fewer receive priority service. Tires from heavy machinery are strictly excluded from the program.
