The active phase of construction of the Three Volcanoes Park tourist complex is beginning in Kamchatka, the press service of the regional government reports.
The investor is currently working to identify a general contractor for construction and installation work and is drawing up a list of works for 2025. The investor actively cooperates with Kamchatka entrepreneurs for their future involvement in the implementation of the project.
“The Three Volcanoes Park is the largest in Kamchatka’s portfolio of investment projects today. It is unique for the entire Far East, as it combines expedition, ski and balneological tourism. The investor is currently at the stage of identifying a general contractor and is actively cooperating with Kamchatka entrepreneurs for their future involvement in the project. Completion of the first phase of the project is planned until 2028, and a number of facilities will be available to locals and tourists before the end of this period as they are put into operation. The central part of the project is the Sopka Goryachaya Resort, a mountain tourist village with a hotel complex and ski infrastructure,” said Andrey Adullin, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Kamchatka Territory.
Currently, active construction of engineering and transport infrastructure facilities is underway. In particular, the construction of a heat supply system from the Verkhne-Paratunskoye thermal water deposit and the connection of tourist infrastructure facilities to the power supply system is underway. In addition, a public highway of regional importance is being built, which will be accessible to both residents of the Kamchatka Territory and guests of the peninsula.
According to the developers of the project, the territory of the Three Volcanoes Park unites various sights of Kamchatka and allows the development of such types of tourism as expedition, balneological and ski. The central part of the project is the Sopka Goryachaya Resort, a mountain tourist village, on the territory of which a complex of low—rise geothermal hotels and ski infrastructure will be located: a hotel infrastructure with a total number of more than 2,500 rooms, a geothermal lagoon, 30 km of ski slopes and three cable cars.
It should be recalled that the plans to create a tourist cluster Park “Three Volcanoes” are of concern to the UNESCO World Heritage Committee and the International Union for Conservation of Nature, as the tour cluster may have a negative impact on the World Natural Heritage Site “Volcanoes of Kamchatka”.
