Kamchatka residents will discover the secrets of bears’ awakening after hibernation
On International Bear Day, which is celebrated on March 23, the Kamchatka Regional Scientific Library named after S.P. Krasheninnikov invites you to a lecture dedicated to the spring period in the life of these animals, Kamchatka.Today reports.
The lecture “The Spring Life of bears” will be delivered by Vladimir Gordienko, Senior Researcher at the Kronotsky Nature Reserve. The scientist will reveal the secrets of the bears’ awakening after hibernation, his rich experience and deep knowledge of bears will allow listeners to get unique information about the life of these animals in the spring.
“Gordienko will talk about how bears wake up after hibernation, what happens to their bodies at this important moment, as well as what behavioral features they have during the breeding season and the search for food,” the report says.
At the lecture, everyone will be able to ask their questions and get answers from an expert.
