Two Kamchatka Fish Plants Fined for Water Protection Violations

Two fish processing plants in the Kamchatka Territory face penalties for violating water protection legislation. During the 2025–2026 period, the facilities operated without the required approval from the territorial department of the Federal Agency for Fishery. Environmental prosecutors identified numerous operational violations during an inspection of the enterprises. These infractions involved improper procedures for facility mothballing, vehicle parking, waste management, and the handling of fuels and lubricants. The facilities also failed to conduct mandatory assessments of their negative environmental impact and did not implement required compensatory measures.

Administrative offense cases were initiated against the operators based on the inspection results. Following a formal review, the enterprises were issued fines totaling 208,000 rubles. The legal rulings imposing these financial penalties have not yet entered into force.
