Kamchatka motorists scrapped 67,000 tires worth 3.4 million rubles

Today, on June 21, the campaign for the reception of used tires is coming to an end on the peninsula. Since May 23, motorists have handed over more than 67,000 tires, the regional administration told Kamchatka.Today.
Old tires were accepted without restrictions. They paid 50 rubles for each one, and also awarded 50 points in the KamBALL system. The total amount of remuneration paid exceeded 3.35 million rubles.
Reception points were located in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky at 1a Tundrova Street and in the village of Novy Yelizovsky district at 20/1 Molodezhnaya Street.
In the area, the reception ended on June 4, motorists handed over more than 23 thousand tires. As of the 19th, over 44,000 tires were assembled in the regional center.
“This year, it was planned to collect about 70,000 pieces of used rubber, and we are successfully implementing this plan,” said Sofia Repkova, chief Specialist at the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services and Energy.
The tires will be recycled into rubber chips, which will be added to paving and paving slabs, as well as to playground coverings.
