Modernization of the energy sector continues in Kamchatka

In 2024, JSC Southern Electric Networks of Kamchatka, a subsidiary of PJSC Kamchatskenergo (part of the RusHydro Group), will invest almost 345 million rubles in the development of the region’s energy infrastructure. These funds are used to implement projects within the framework of the company’s investment program.

One of the significant achievements was the commissioning of a 107.2 kW solar hybrid power plant in the village of Dolinovka, Milkovsky Municipal District. The station, consisting of 256 solar panels, complements the existing diesel power plant. It is planned that the installed capacity of the SES will be increased to 176.64 kW due to the installation of 200 more panels. This will increase the efficiency of energy supply and reduce dependence on diesel fuel.

For the modernization of GDES-7 in the village of Sobolevo, three gas generating units produced by the Kolomna Plant with a total capacity of 2.7 MW were purchased. The new equipment is adapted to the harsh climatic conditions of Kamchatka and will ensure reliable operation of the power plant.

In addition, new transformers with a total capacity of 2.86 MVA have been commissioned at the Atlasovo substation. As part of the modernization of transformer substations in Milkovsky, Bystrinsky, Ust-Kamchatsky municipal districts and Olyutorsky municipal district, 68 arc protection kits have been installed, which will significantly increase the safety and reliability of the power system.

Significant changes have also taken place in the heat-generating sector. Boiler equipment with a total capacity of 2.01 Gcal has been replaced in the villages of Talovka, Slautnoye, Ayanka and Sedanka of the Penzhinsky municipal district. This will improve the efficiency and reliability of heat supply to settlements.
