KAMCHATKA – Between September 28 and October 5, fisheries inspectors identified 14 poaching violations during regional patrols. Enforcement officers seized 6.6 kilograms of illegally caught fish and eight pieces of fishing equipment from the offenders.
Monitoring operations across regional waterways are currently maintained by 15 rapid response teams and seven stationary observation posts. The latest figures show a decrease in illegal activity compared to the preceding week, during which authorities apprehended 57 poachers and confiscated 32.5 kilograms of fish alongside 21 pieces of fishing gear.
