The Three Volcanoes Park resort in Kamchatka is voluntarily conducting an environmental impact assessment. Field research is scheduled to conclude in October, with the finalized environmental evaluation expected by the spring of 2027.
Following the completion of the field studies, baseline data will be compiled to evaluate the ecological footprint of the development. Although an environmental impact assessment is not a mandatory requirement for construction to proceed, the procedure is being undertaken proactively to ensure ecological responsibility. A finalized assessment draft is projected to be ready between February and March.
To safeguard the unique local ecosystem, forty-two permanent monitoring stations have already been established across the peninsula. These stations are designed to continuously track and manage any potential environmental pollution in the surrounding areas.
The Three Volcanoes Park – a tourism project developed by Interros – is an international tourist cluster under construction 80 kilometers from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, situated near the Vilyuchinsky, Mutnovsky, and Gorely volcanoes. The destination integrates balneological, mountain, and ski tourism. The initial phase of the project, slated for completion by 2028, includes 16.6 kilometers of ski trails of varying difficulty, a primary gondola cable car, and approximately 100 hotel rooms. By 2030, the resort aims to expand its ski trails to nearly 30 kilometers, construct a second gondola cable car, and increase accommodation capacity to 500 rooms.
