SiGMA JSC to take part in landscaping of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky
Siberian Mining and Metallurgical Alliance Joint Stock Company (SiGMA) was one of the first to support the initiative on an integrated approach to the creation of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky green zones, responding to the call of the Legislative Assembly of the Kamchatka Territory to join this environmental project.
According to the press service of SiGMA JSC, the participants of the working meeting on landscaping the region discussed such key issues as the lack of a landscaping concept for Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, as well as an integrated approach and long-term care for ornamental plants. It was decided to recommend the inclusion of landscaping of the regional capital in the projects of the master plan. The meeting participants emphasized the need to plant trees along the roads after the completion of road repair work. It was also decided to involve entrepreneurs and specialists to develop a strategy that takes into account the climate, urban infrastructure and further plant care.
“We understand the importance of creating a comfortable urban environment and its impact on the appearance of the regional capital, as well as the mood of its residents, so we are ready to support initiatives that will make our city more comfortable and green, and we hope that our company’s participation in environmental campaigns will be a good example for other companies in the region,” said the CEO of JSC SiGMA by Alexander Babushkin.
Representatives of the deputy corps plan to make meetings on greening the city regular. At the next meeting, the organizers and participants will discuss specific locations, as well as consider proposals and plans for their improvement.
