Seeds of stone birch, Siberian larch and Ayanskaya spruce were planted in a nursery on the territory of the Yelizovsky forestry, the administration of the Yelizovsky municipal district told Kamchatka.Today.
Aerial fire protection and ground-based forest fire services play an important role in protecting forests from fire. But they not only extinguish fires, but also take part in the restoration of forests.
In the nursery of the KGAU “Protection of Kamchatka forests”, located on the territory of the Yelizovsky forestry near the village of Yuzhnye Koryaki, seeds of stone birch, Siberian larch and Ayanskaya spruce were planted. By 2026, 100,000 seedlings will be grown here. They will be sent to restore forests that have been depleted after logging or died from natural disasters and forest fires.
