Kamchatka Ranks Among Russia’s Most Expensive Tourist Destinations

Kamchatka emerged as the only region in the Russian Far East to feature among the most expensive domestic tourism destinations for the summer of 2026. The remote peninsula secured the sixth and final position in a national ranking of premium travel packages. The majority of the highest-priced tourism experiences during the season were concentrated in the southern parts of Russia – specifically in hubs like Sochi and the Caucasian Mineral Waters.

A custom sightseeing itinerary titled ‘Kamchatka to the Maximum’ recorded a total cost of 654,712 rubles for a group of four travelers. Operated by Intourist, the package featured a one-week stay in a summer cottage at the three-star ‘Pearl of Kamchatka’ sanatorium. This premium rate covered ground services and accommodations but entirely excluded the cost of incoming airfare to the peninsula.
