Over the past week, officers from the Federal Agency for Fishery – Rosrybolovstvo – apprehended 57 violators during anti-poaching raids across waterways in the Kamchatka region. Fishery inspectors seized a total of 32.5 kilograms of illegally caught fish and 21 pieces of fishing equipment from the offenders.
Enforcement efforts on the region’s water bodies are currently being carried out by 15 specialized task forces. These mobile units are additionally supported by seven stationary posts strategically positioned to monitor aquatic resources and prevent illegal fishing activities.
