Tourists near Kamchatka’s Vachkazhets mountain will be greeted with new toilets
In the area of Lake Takhkoloch, the territory of the natural monument “Vachkazhets Mountain Range” has been improved, the regional government told Kamchatka.Today.
Employees of the Volcanoes of Kamchatka network of natural parks repaired signs, toilet complexes, and installed information stands.
“Special attention was paid to the repair of toilet facilities in order to ensure the comfort of visitors and compliance with sanitary standards. All the work was carried out taking into account the requirements for minimizing environmental impact,” said Diana Zabolotskaya, a specialist at the nature park.
The Nature conservation agency and the regional wildlife Protection service will continue to work to ensure the safety and accessibility of the unique natural site.
Vachkazhets is a mountain range in the south of the Kamchatka Peninsula. The highest point of which is the mountain of the same name Vachkazhets with a height of 1556 meters above sea level is located 80 kilometers west of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The mountain range is a natural monument of regional importance.
