Nine tons of used tires were removed from the territory of Yelizovsky district

In the Yelizovsky district of the Kamchatka Territory, the fight against spontaneous landfills continues, the administration of the municipality told Kamchatka.Today.
As part of the municipal contract, the contractor began to remove the accumulated waste. First of all, the sites for the collection of municipal solid waste were cleaned. At the moment, about 220 cubic meters of garbage and nine tons of used tires have been removed, for which 1.6 million rubles have been spent.
The administration added that millions of budget funds are allocated annually to eliminate the consequences of citizens’ irresponsible attitude to the environment. Residents and guests of the district are urged to take care of nature and follow the rules of waste management.
