During inspections conducted across waterways in the Kamchatka region over the past week, federal fishery officers apprehended 41 individuals for violating fishing regulations – with criminal proceedings currently under consideration for two of these incidents.
Authorities confiscated 102 kilograms of illegally caught salmon, seven kilograms of caviar, four vehicles, and 37 pieces of fishing equipment from the violators. Enforcement operations targeting illegal fishing activities on regional water bodies are currently maintained by 18 mobile task forces and 16 stationary surveillance posts.
