Residents of Kamchatka with children are invited to the ecological celebration “Whale Day”
An ecological celebration dedicated to World Whale Day will be held on February 15 at the Kamchatka Regional Library named after S.P. Krasheninnikov, the Kamchatka.Today reports with reference to the library.
The festival will be held on February 15 from 12:00 to 16:00 in the Department of Local History. Families with children are invited to it. Admission is free. No age restrictions.
The guests of the festival will take part in the ecological KVN “About sea lions and fur seals”: the competition will introduce children and their parents to the diversity of the animal world, with interesting facts about whales, seals, sea lions and seals.
Anna Russian, a soloist of the Koritev youth national ensemble, will hold a conversation on “Marine animals in the tales of the indigenous peoples of Kamchatka” and will tell you about what kind of marine life can be found in folklore works.

Fans of film screenings will be able to watch and discuss a film about sea giants, which will allow them to better understand the peculiarities of the life of amazing creatures.
Visitors to the book exhibition “Sea Giants of Kamchatka Waters” will have the opportunity to get acquainted with literature about whales and their role in the ecosystem of the planet.
