Spruce trees are dying in Yelizovo in a park on the Avacha River due to the fault of a contractor

The specialists of the Popular Front checked the landscaping in the park on the embankment of the Avacha River in Yelizovo and came to disappointing conclusions, the regional branch of the public movement told Kamchatka.Today.

Last year, fir trees were planted during landscaping, but they did not survive the winter. In April, public activists wrote an appeal to the city administration about this, and in May the dead seedlings were replaced.

Lyudmila Rafalskaya, an expert of the front-line workers, head of the architectural and landscape workshop, checked their planting. On the spot, it turned out that if urgent measures are not taken, then the new fir trees will not take root. Besides, the contractor didn’t have any documents for them.

According to the expert, at the last meeting she explained how to handle coniferous trees, but they were planted incorrectly again. The seedlings were deepened so that the lower branches were underground.

The activists again appealed to the Yelizovsky city administration and they immediately responded. A request was sent to the contractor, SK Stark LLC, to eliminate the identified defects.

“As part of the guarantee, the contractor will carry out repeated work to restore the landscaping of the park,” the mayor’s office said.
