During recent patrols across the waterways of the Kamchatka region, fishery regulatory officers detained 18 individuals for violating fishing regulations. Authorities are currently evaluating the initiation of criminal proceedings for two of these incidents.
Throughout the week, inspectors confiscated a total of three kilograms of illegally harvested catch – alongside nine pieces of unauthorized fishing gear – directly from the violators. To enforce compliance and protect local aquatic resources, seven operational task forces are actively patrolling the regional water bodies, supported by the establishment of two stationary monitoring posts.
