The first camel calf has been born at the Rosa farm in the Kamchatka Peninsula. The delivery proceeded successfully, and the mother camel, named Valyusha, is in good health and actively caring for her newborn. Camel gestation lasts approximately 14 months, and students from the Kamchatka Agricultural College were able to observe the developmental process.
The birth occurred during the early morning hours without any human intervention. The calf is healthy and strong, though its sex remains undetermined – farm personnel are currently keeping their distance from the newborn and its mother to avoid causing any unnecessary stress to the animals.
