During a week of targeted raids from June 29 to July 6, fisheries authorities detained 94 individuals for poaching in the water bodies of the Kamchatka region.
Enforcement officers seized 23 kilograms of illegally harvested fish, five vehicles, and 49 pieces of fishing equipment from the offenders. The most frequent offenses included violations of fishing and habitat protection regulations, alongside the evasion of prior administrative penalties.
To combat illegal fishing activities across the region – a vital area for marine and freshwater ecosystems – authorities have deployed 25 operational task forces and established 25 stationary observation posts. Continuous anti-poaching patrols and enforcement operations remain active throughout the territory.
