The Kronotsky State Nature Reserve, a key conservation area, has embarked on an ambitious three-year project designed to stabilize and increase the population of these majestic animals, which face ongoing threats from habitat loss and human disturbance.
The initiative recently received a substantial infusion of resources, thanks to support from the Ecological Systems Preservation Foundation. This crucial funding has enabled the acquisition of vital new equipment for reserve inspectors, including all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), advanced drones, specialized trailers, and updated uniforms.
