Kamchatka hunting inspectors eliminate bear cordon on Milkovskaya highway
Hunting inspectors went to the Milkovskaya highway section, where three cubs charge drivers for food, the regional Ministry of Forestry and Hunting told Kamchatka.Today.
Young predators pose a danger both to passing motorists and to themselves, because, having become accustomed to living on handouts from “kind-hearted” people, they will then not be able to adapt to a naturally wild environment. The task of the huntsmen is to drive the animals into the forest.
As the agency previously reported, young beggars set up a cordon on 111 kilometers of the Milkovskaya highway. Passing motorists stop and feed the bears.
But perhaps the mother of the cubs is wandering somewhere near the road. If she suspects that someone is hurting her kids, the mother can kick the sides of both motorists and their cars.
