Kamchatka jeepers were threatened with punishment for parking on Avachinsky pass
Motorist tourists were urged to comply with the rules of parking vehicles in the Nalychevo Nature Park, where summer routes were opened, Kamchatka.Today reports with reference to the Volcanoes of Kamchatka network of natural parks.
Representatives of the network point out that cars can only be parked in specially equipped parking areas. It is strictly forbidden to park or enter the territory adjacent to the Extrusion Camel geological formation, which is often done by off-road vehicle drivers.
“The park administration reserves the right to take appropriate measures for violations of these rules,” the network representatives said.
One of the most popular locations for motorist tourists is Avachinsky Pass, which is located about 25 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky between the active volcanoes Avachinsky and Koryaksky. From there, there are ascents to the Camel extrusion, volcanoes, observations of Beringian ground squirrels (evrazhki) and black-capped marmots, as well as routes to the Nalychevo Park. Tourists visit the Avacha pass both in summer and winter.
