Caring residents of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky have rescued hapless ducklings from disaster at Kultuchny Lake, a photojournalist from the KAMCHATKA-INFORM agency reports.
On the afternoon of June 1, when the duck family was crossing the road from the mekhzavod to the lake shore, one of the ducklings, who had strayed from the family, climbed under a parked passenger bus. The mother duck and the other ducklings began to rush around on the road. Passers-by who saw this reported the emergency to the bus driver so that he would not press the gas pedal, and with difficulty kicked the duckling out from under the vehicle.
The story ended well – none of the birds were injured, and swimming lessons were not disrupted.
