The Fire Fox from Kamchatka became the winner of the Crystal Compass Award
The documentary film “The Fiery Fox”, shot in Kamchatka, became the winner in the nomination “Best Media Project, media project” of the national award “Crystal Compass”, reported Kamchatka.Today in the Kronotsky Nature Reserve.
The news of the victory in the competition came to the authors of the film Dmitry and Anna Shpilenkam while working on a new project. The film crew is currently on Kuril Lake in the South Kamchatka Federal Reserve. There, a creative team is making a film about brown bears.
Alexey Ryazantsev, President of Karo Premier, received the award at the ceremony to present it to the laureates. It was this company that acted as the distributor of the film in Russia.
“We were glad to receive the good news while on the Kuril Lake. We’ve been shooting a new movie here for two months now. The high appreciation of our work supports and inspires,” said Anna Shpilenok, producer and screenwriter of the film “The Fiery Fox.”
The National Crystal Compass Award has been awarded since 2012 under the auspices of the Russian Geographical Society with the support of the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives and Rossotrudnichestvo. Over the past 13 years, almost 5,000 projects and unique achievements from 51 countries have been nominated for the award.
Let us remind you that “The Fiery Fox”, shot by a married and creative couple in the Kronotsky Nature Reserve, was released last year. In its first two weekends, it became the highest-grossing wildlife movie.
On January 31 of this year, the Fire Fox became the winner of the Russian Golden Eagle Award. It was recognized as the “Best Non-fiction Film”.
