Kamchatka scientists will spend the season on volcanoes, geotherms and in fields
The Institute of Volcanology and Seismology of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences discussed plans for the upcoming field season, the department reports Kamchatka.Today.
The academic council decided that 12 field teams would be launched for research. They will operate both in Kamchatka and the Kuril Islands.
Scientists will continue to study volcanoes and volcanic complexes, geothermal deposits, bays, coasts and lakes.
They will enter the fields in March and complete their research in September and October.
